Ben Miley and Dean Walker have both completed moves to Ebac Northern League Division 2 side Washington. Both players need minutes on the pitch to build their match fitness and sharpness and a move to Washington should enable this. Having been amongst Paul Bennett’s first signings in October 2010, where they both made their club debut in a 2-1 victory over Seaham Red Star, Bennett believes the duo “are still very much a part of Hebburn Town’s future” and all at the club have high hopes that they will thrive at Washington.
Callum Charlton, a consistent performer last season as the club won promotion, has decided it was time to seek a new challenge away from Hebburn Town. Paul Bennett believes Charlton “was brilliant for us and is always welcome back”. All at the club would like to wish Callum all the very best for the future and thank him for his efforts while a Hornet.
Gareth McAlindon remains at the club though is frustrated at the lack of first team opportunities at the moment and is currently weighing up his future options.
